New Baby Kittens!

Hope called me early this morning to tell me that Lady Fribble had had a kitten. I rushed home from work with a box to put the mom and kitten in, because poor Ms. Fribble had her first baby in the middle of the yard. I have been worried that she would have a hard time because she was an abandoned baby whose mother left her at the hotel before she could eat on her own. The kitten was dirty and Lady showed no signs of turning over and letting the kitten feed, but I stood there and petted her and talked to her and said a prayer that instinct would kick in and she would take good care of her little baby. Before I left, she had her baby all cleaned up and was lying with her legs open so Uno could eat. I will keep you updated with pictures as the little darlings come out!

Yay for maternal instinct! If, for some reason, she abandons it again, I can give you some helpful hints for taking care of it. My family found a kitten in the yard one time and brought to Savannah, so I learned a thing or two about newborn kittens and how to make them poop!

Adorable little lambs! I wish my ladies would have babies. Is she just having the one?

Oh, Christy! I had to take care of an infant kitten for weeks! I can make them poop too! I've told Alicia all about stimulating rectums!

Well, I'm so glad to know that we are sisters in rectal stimulation! I first learned about it from baby squirrels that I found on the ground on my farm. The were always falling out of their nests?, and were easy prey for snakes....

Ok, this may be one blog ocnversation I bow out of gracefully. First, the kittens, then rectal stimulation? I can just picture each of you hopping through a field of bunnies.

Brandi, how do you go from rectal stimulation to a field of bunnies? Christy's comment gave me an idea for a book: Instead of "The Ya-Ya Sisterhood," how about "Sisters of Rectal Stimualtion?" It has a nice ring to it.

It's the communal love of all things cute and fuzzy that connects them for me. The idea that you love these fuzzy little creatures enough to press on their buttocks.

Though I didn't want to "poop the kitten" (as I call it), I had no choice. He couldn't go on his own. I was worried he would become so full of poo that he would explode. Logically, I know this can't happen, but still...

I did wear gloves when I did it.
